DJ Fresh Vs Diplo - Earthquake Feat. Dominique Young Unique

Two of the hottest producers around clash on this earth shaker.

Goldie Thorn - Stop Motion Gallop (EP)

Drawing inspiration from duos who went before – Serge & Jane, Jack & Meg White, Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra – East London electro-pop / sparkly house duo GOLDIE THORN whip up big, beatific dance pop tracks out of their little home studio on the old ‘Murder Mile’ in Clapton, London.

With influences ranging from LCD Soundsystem, Yoko Ono’s Plastic Ono Band, Arthur Russell, the Avalanches and Henry Mancini, one half of the duo cut his teeth producing sample-heavy blissed out pop on old analogue samplers and sequencer, and the other honed her song writing chops in guitar and jazz band.

Both, however bring a dedication to big beats, and a different approach to dance music to their debut EP STOP MOTION GALLOP. Available for download on iTunes and Juno Download now.

Matt Woods - Wash Me Clean

Wash Me Clean is inspired by Matt’s seaside hometown in Cornwall, using a wurly, tremolo electric guitar as well as melodic vocal harmonies the song speaks about overcoming adversity amongst struggle.

Inspired by the poem ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost, this song talks of a man’s dilemma at reaching a fork in the road. As with the poem, the lyric suggests to ‘take the road less travelled’ but the main point of the song is to not attribute too much sentiment to the paths you have to leave behind.

Another melodic acoustic hit based on The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. The lyric of this song is supposed to encourage the notion of having faith in yourself above all else.

A song about close friendship as well as new relationships forged by the bottle. Pass The Bottle speaks of drinking ‘straight out the bottle like old friends do’ and then encourages others to ‘pass the bottle around’. It is meant as much as a campfire song about drinking as it a commentary that no matter how much or how little we have, we can sit in each others company and share what we have.

Fenech-Soler - Magnetic

Fenech-Soler have achieved a next level aura of accomplishment with their upcoming second album ‘‘Rituals’’ which will be released on September 2nd on Warner Bros. Records. The album follows their self-titled debut album which was released in 2010 and earned them Q and XFM award nominations for The Next Big Thing and Best British Debut Album of the Year respectively, as well as substantial support from Radio 1.

The album was largely produced by the band themselves though they chose to collaborate on certain tracks with the likes of Tim Goldsworthy (LCD Soundsystem, UNKLE) and the innovative Swedish producer / DJ Style of Eye.

The album has already been previewed with a video for ‘’All I Know’’ as well as the track ‘‘Maiyu’’, which was recently made available as a free download and graced the top of the Hype Machine chart. The album’s first full single ‘‘Magnetic’’ will follow on July 1st. As with the best of ‘Rituals’, ‘’Magnetic’’ blends memorable hooks and punchy synths, capturing the essence of Fenech-Soler’s distinct niche – electronic-based music delivered with a beating human heart.
